About Us
We are husband and wife team Matt and Josie Hegstad. Matt is a US Army combat vet and a veteran of law enforcement. Josie was a corrections officer, 911 dispatcher and worked in the oilfield. We love America and beer. We aren’t afraid to show it!

The mission of Patriotic American Brewery is to create exceptional beer and operate as a rendezvous point for people proud to be American.

The Patriot
American Wheat Beer. ABV: 5.4% SRM: 3, straw colored, pale and hazy. IBU: 18, mild citrus bitterness. Overview: Easy drinking, citrusy and balanced. Thirst-quenching and crushable. Award winning beer!
Honor
Kentucky Common. ABV: 5.1% SRM: 16 deep amber and clear. IBU: 21, mild bitterness. Overview: Balance is on the malt side but still dry. This historic American beer style is refreshing due to high carbonation and mild flavors.
Independence
New England IPA (Hazy). ABV: 7.4% SRM: 3, straw colored and opaque. IBU: 43, medium-high smooth bitterness. Lots of whirlpool and dry hops. Overview: Fruity, citrusy, smooth, easy drinking with restrained bitterness.
Tradition
Pre-Prohibition Porter. ABV: 6.0% SRM: 26, dark chocolate with ruby highlights & clear. IBU: 23, mild bitterness. Overview: Approachable dark ale with mild chocolate, coffee & licorice flavors. The beer style favored by George Washington.
D.T.O.M.
American IPA. ABV: 7.0% SRM: 7, deep gold with orange hues and clear hazy. IBU: 55, moderate bitterness showcasing citrus, mild citrus, pine, and hop character. Overview: An IPA bright with tropical fruit and citrus. Very little lingering bitterness.
F.N.G.
Hard Seltzer. ABV: 6.0% SRM: 0, IBU: 0, Overview: We brew a base unflavored seltzer which is crystal clear with a touch of green apple-like tartness. Great on its own or you can add a variety of flavors. The crowd favorite is huckleberry!
Fire in the Hole!
Habanero Wheat Beer. ABV: 5.4% SRM: 3, straw colored, pale and hazy. IBU: 16 mild citrus bitterness. Overview: We use jalapenos and habaneros to create a mild pepper aroma and spice concluding in a bit of a tingle in the back of the throat. Award winning beer!
Til Valhalla
Norwegian Farmhouse Ale. ABV: 7.9% SRM: 7, deep gold with orange hues and a bit hazy. IBU: 10 mild earth and spice bitterness. Overview: This historic ale pays homage to Norwegian farmers who used local juniper and Norwegian yeast. The beer also honors our heroes and the promise to see each other in the afterlife.

Beer Cocktails
Shrapnel: Fire in the Hole with Clamato. Our signature red beer great anytime of year.
Honor-Palmer: Honor Kentucky Common mixed with lemonade. Beer on top, lemonade at the bottom, reminiscent of the legendary Arnold Palmer.
PAB-Shandy: The Patriot Wheat Beer mixed with lemonade creating a refreshing hard lemonade.
Friendly Fire: Fire in the Hole mixed with lemonade making for a sweet and spicy shandy.
Hillbilly-Mosa: Independence Hazy IPA mixed with orange juice.

Sam Adams Just the Haze, Sam Adams Gold Rush, Deschuttes Black Butte Porter, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, A&W Root Beer, A&W Cream Soda, Dr. Pepper, and lemonade. Water always free!
